LASH LINE ENHANCEMENT

2 WEEKS BEFORE

Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds. Skin that has experienced direct sun exposure needs recovery and cannot be tattooed until it returns to its natural homeostatic functions.

No facials, botox, chemical treatments, or microdermabrasion 2 weeks prior.

1 WEEK BEFORE

Do not use any skincare products containing Retin-A, Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxyl, Vitamin C or any exfoliants 7 days prior.

Eyelash extensions must be removed at least 4 days prior to the procedure.

No eyelash perm and/or tinting at least 4 days prior.

24-48 HOURS BEFORE

No excessive alcohol or caffeine consumption 24-48 hrs before the procedure. Alcohol and caffeine can thin the blood, which causes the skin to be hypersensitive, and bleed/bruise more easily.

Avoid anticoagulant medication for 24-48 hours before the procedure. This includes Aspirin, Niacin (Vitamin B3), Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen, fish oils tablets etc.

Tylenol can be consumed the day of the procedure if you have a low pain threshold.

PLEASE NOTE!

You may be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.

Do not wear any eye makeup on the day of your appointment.

If you wear contact lenses, please wear glasses the day of the appointment.

Eyelash growth serums like Latisse, EyeEnvy etc. bring extra circulation to the lash line area which results in more growth of hair/lashes. This can cause the skin to be hypersensitive and bleed easily. It is recommended to discontinue the use of these products at least 4 weeks before your treatment.

AFTERCARE

Avoid sweaty exercises such as hot saunas, hot yoga, and swimming for 3-5 days prior.

To relieve swelling, you can ice the area with a soft gel ice pack or chilled cucumber slices for a few minutes at a time.

Wash the skin around the eyes twice a day AM and PM, using a gentle, unscented soap. Use your fingertips to cleanse gently and pat dry with a clean tissue. Do not use towels to pat dry.

Do not apply any ointment, cream or any other products to the eye area until all flaking has fallen off.

Flaking will take about 4-7 days to completely fall off. Do not pick at the scabs or peel them off prematurely.

No eye makeup is allowed until the flakes completely fall off. This step may take up to 7 days.

Exercising the eyes can help reduce swelling and puffiness. Try actively blinking for 2 minutes in the morning.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Swelling and redness is to be expected immediately after the procedure as the skin is very thin and delicate in this area.

Slight stinging sensation in the first few days is normal.

Swelling occurs up to 3 days after the procedure, especially in the morning.

Eye-itching is to be expected especially during the first 24-48 hours. No scratching, picking or rubbing your eyes.

The length of time it takes to heal varies for each client, however most client experience surface healing within the first 5-7 days after the procedure.

The colour will fade approximately 30-50% lighter when the scabs fall off. This is completely normal. Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than you expected.

True colour will not be apparent until the 4-8 week mark.
